What You’ll Do

As a Founding Engineer, you won’t just write code — you’ll help build the company. You’ll work closely with the founders to architect, build, and scale our core technology from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to shape the technical vision, product roadmap, and culture of an AI-first company.

• Own and build Emma AI’s core product — from backend architecture to frontend interfaces (or whichever stack matches your strengths).

• Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models that power our product.

• Make key technical decisions that will influence Emma AI’s trajectory.

• Collaborate directly with the founding team on product, strategy, and go-to-market plans.

• Create a scalable, maintainable codebase that can grow as the company grows.

• Recruit and mentor future engineers as we build out the team.

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years of software engineering experience (startup experience or early-stage product-building a big plus).

• Proficiency in our stack or similar (e.g., Python, TypeScript, React, Node.js, cloud platforms like AWS/GCP).

• Experience working with AI/ML models (e.g., NLP, LLMs, computer vision, or generative AI).

• Ability to work independently and thrive in ambiguity — you’re comfortable wearing multiple hats.

• Passion for building products that users love.

• A “founder’s mindset” — ownership, bias for action, and resourcefulness.
